ABOUT

RYONES by RYONES began in 2021, during a quiet stretch in my photography where I felt unseen and stuck. I’ve always been a hat kid, so instead of watermarking my photos, I stitched my identity into something I wore every day. An R. Something simple, personal and mine.

I gave the first ones to my closest friends. Scarborough turned it into something greater. The neighbourhood of Galloway carried it and the R became a flag within our circle. A way of saying “you know who you’re with” without speaking.

A few years later, the same thing happened when I moved downtown. Different environment, same reaction. Even more people who lived off ambition and resilience grabbed onto it and the hat became bigger than its purpose. Bigger than the photography it was meant to push. It became a story people recognized in themselves.

RYONES was named after being “on my ones,” a nod to the early days where everything felt lonely. But the brand became proof that loneliness doesn’t mean isolation. People find you, people carry you and people build with you.

That’s why we live by: sometimes alone, always together.

RYONES is for the ones who walk alone but still belong.
For the ones finding their voice.
For the ones who move with purpose, even when no one’s watching.

Every R carries weight. Every piece holds a story. Yours, mine, and ours.
